Overview:
This 8-day safari is a thrilling journey through Northern Tanzania’s most diverse landscapes and cultural encounters. Starting in Arusha, the adventure explores the elephant-rich Tarangire National Park, the dramatic Ngorongoro Crater, the iconic Serengeti with a visit to the famous Mara River, the cultural heartland of Lake Eyasi, and finishes with the lush beauty of Lake Manyara. Expect close wildlife encounters, breathtaking scenery, and authentic interactions with local tribes such as the Hadzabe and Datoga.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, meet your driver/guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and prepare for the safari adventure ahead.
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers excellent wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight near or inside the park.
Depart for Ngorongoro, stopping at viewpoints and cultural sites along the way. Arrive in time to relax at the crater rim with stunning views. Overnight at a lodge/camp near Ngorongoro.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. After lunch, drive through the highlands into the vast Serengeti Plains. Evening game drive en route to your camp in the Serengeti. Overnight in Serengeti (central or north).
Early morning game drive around the Mara River (Northern Serengeti) to witness the Great Migration (seasonal). Later, begin your journey south to Central Serengeti, game viewing along the way. Overnight in Central Serengeti.
After a sunrise drive and breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward Lake Eyasi. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Rift Valley. Overnight near the lake.
Early morning visit with the Hadzabe (Bushmen) for traditional hunting and cultural interaction. Later, visit the Datoga blacksmith tribe. After lunch, continue to Lake Manyara. Overnight in Mto wa Mbu or near the park.
Enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its diverse birdlife, tree-climbing lions, and lush groundwater forest. After lunch, return to Arusha for drop-off or airport transfer.
